SURELY THE FUCK WE CAN DEAL WITH THIS

The HBO Special "24/7: Capitals-Penguins Road to the NHL Winter Classic" debuted Wednesday night to rave reviews. The show follows the Capitals and Penguins in the month leading up to the Classic with unprecedented behind the scenes access. Of course, this not a good things for the Caps right now, as they are mired in a losing streak with the Penguins are winners of 12 of the last 14.

Despite the woes of the Capitals, the debut episode was spectacular. Unfortunately, the show paints the Capitals as a desperate team, which has bugged some. But, is it not true? I mean yes, the Capitals are struggling now, but the show also highlights the playoff letdowns of the past few seasons. The Penguins on the other hand are painted as a fun loving juggernaut, which is an accurate representation at the time. I hope we get to see some of the fun side of the Capitals in later episodes, but this streak is going to to have to end for that to happen.

Highlights of the Episode:

- The Capitals reaction to the losing streak. Refreshing to see that they are as pissed as we are.
- Boudreau's f-bomb speeches, which are priceless
- Ovechkin's response to John Michael Liles bleeding after the Semin cross-check to the ref: "Well he probably has sensitive skin, no"
- The Ovechkin fight. Interesting to get an inside look at it.
- Marc Andre Fleury and Co emptying rookie Mark Letestu's hotel room into the hallway
- The Ovechkin highlight reel at the beginning. Always fun to watch.
